The request
The challenge of this project was to enhance the architecture of the space while bringing it up to date and meeting various needs.
The bias
To achieve this, we highlighted the strengths of this Haussmann-style apartment, retaining the moldings, woodwork, and parquet flooring while redesigning the layout:
- Redistribution and optimization of space to facilitate flow
- Creation of new rooms and numerous built-in storage solutions.
To modernize the space, we designed our areas and volumes with simple lines and clean shapes, and mirrors were used to create the illusion of greater space. From the walls to the furniture, colors were used to contrast with the classic Haussmannian style and bring warmth and dynamism to the space.
Finally, everything has been designed for comfort: warm materials such as velvet, comfortable seating, rugs, plants, and indirect lighting.
